**About the role**:
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering holistic primary care to individuals and families accessing Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS). Your connection to community, cultural knowledge, and ability to build strong relationships will help clients feel safe, heard, and supported on their journey to better health outcomes.
You’ll be a key link between clients and the wider clinical team - helping to ensure that each client’s voice, needs, and goals are clearly understood and supported. Your work will directly contribute to improving lives and promoting culturally safe care within the service.
**Where you’ll be working**:
You’ll work closely with the DACS Aboriginal Manager and be supported by an engaged and active Aboriginal workforce. You’ll be part of a collaborative team including nurses, medical officers, and counsellors - providing support to them while receiving ongoing support and professional development in return.

**Requirements**:
- This is an identified Aboriginal position. Applicants must be of Aboriginal descent. Exemption is claimed under section 14d of the anti-discrimination act 1977.
- Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a minimum Certificate III health qualification with a desire to complete a Certificate IV Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) or other relevant health qualification deemed appropriate by the manager, following appointment to the position through supported education, training and study leave.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability to travel as required.
**Additional Information**:
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
