**Your responsibilities will include**:

- **Threat Monitoring**:Conduct monitoring and analysis of security events across university systems.
- **Incident Response**:Investigate and resolve sophisticated cybersecurity incidents, from detection to resolution.
- **Process Execution**:Carry out and improve detection and response playbooks, ensuring comprehensive security coverage.
- **Critical Issue Management**:Quickly assess and escalate high-priority security threats, coordinating rapid response efforts.

**You may be a great fit if**:
You are an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in operational security, possessing excellent analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

**You may also**:

- Hold university qualifications in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
- Have experience working in an operational security setting e.g. SOC, DFIR.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of threat detection and incident response procedures.
- Have experience handling complex security incidents from end-to-end in large organizations.
- Possess strong documentation and reporting skills for clear stakeholder communication.
- Show a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration in a team environment.
