Exciting opportunity to join a property development group as the Head of Sustainability.
**Your new company**
An exciting start-up development group, specialising in Build to Rent, are now seeking an experienced Head of Sustainability to join their team on a permanent basis. This organisation’s projects are uniquely designed to create positive change in the Australian housing market, incorporating impact housing and targeting zero carbon emissions.

**Your new role**
As the Head of Sustainability, you’ll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining our client’s long term environmental objectives within a building property services environment. With key projects already secured in Melbourne and Sydney you’ll be responsible for the following:

- Assist with the development of sustainability/NABERS improvement strategies
- Develop and manage cost effective solutions to reduce and optimise the consumption of energy and water
- Provide Green Star advice and management
- Provide building optimisation advice and develop sustainability strategies
- Manage environmental risk factors for minimisation of risk to the client

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as having tertiary qualifications in Property, Sustainability, Engineering or a related discipline, you’ll have:

- Experience working for a builder/property developer or large-scale construction projects
- Technical expertise and a strong understanding of the design process as it relates to sustainability
- Superior knowledge of green building, NABERS requirements and energy reduction
