Our Payments team within the Digital function is currently undergoing an exciting transformation journey. We are seeking a product owner with payments (and transaction acquiring) experience to join the team.

**About the role**:
As the Product Owner -Payments you will be required to manage key relationships across internal and external stakeholders in order to execute key priorities in accordance with our strategy and business plans across Merchant Acquiring and Settlement products and services.

In conjunction with the external SaaS/Technology providers and our Fintech team, you will be required to undertake product management activities and supporting the generation of strategies and customer value propositions across Merchant Acquiring, settlement and reconciliation space.

You will co-design the product roadmap and product backlog driving prioritisation that meets our commercial, compliance and brand (merchant) obligations while continually enhancing the overall product value proposition.

You will be required to act as the Business Owner within Payment Services’ Projects and Agile workstreams to ensure product requirements are clearly articulated, customer experiences well documented and the delivery meets our requirements. This includes participating in the continuous improvement of product, project and governance processes between Fintech and the business.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for vendor management and building out the partnerships with our SaaS/Technology delivery partners; as well as supporting commercial conversations across Master Services Agreements, Merchant Services Agreement and SOWs. This includes fee management and merchant pricing reviews.

A key requirement for this position is extensive experience within Financial Services industry specifically with merchant acquiring and settlement and reconciliations. You ideally have vast experience with transaction acquiring and settlement, fee structure, pricing reviews and ability to formulate white papers and recommendations.

**About you and your skills**:

- At least 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a high degree of expertise in analysing product offerings,
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in transaction acquiring and settlement, fee structure (e.g. interchange and scheme fees) and merchant pricing models (essential)
- Experience as a senior business analyst or product owner within financial services (essential)
- Functional knowledge of payments settlement, dispute processing and merchant onboarding systems and products (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to map processes and identify improvement opportunities for the business, working collaboratively with clients and business partners whilst building strong working relationships
- Strong experience in project management framework (Waterfall, Agile etc)
