**About us**

The Collective Initiative (TCI) is a fast-growing organisation working in partnership with Dream Maker Community Services (DMCS), a well-known and nationally recognised NDIS service provider. DMCS is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through tailored, person-centred care. Together, we are driven by a shared commitment to delivering impactful support that promotes independence, dignity, and meaningful community participation. We are currently recruiting **5 male Support Workers** with demonstrated experience in **personal care** and **manual handling** to join our team. **Full-time hours are available for the right applicants.**
- **About the role**_

You will be supporting two adult participants who display challenging behaviours (both verbal and physical) and have reduced mobility, requiring personal care and assistance with daily living tasks.Tasks include:

- Providing personal care support, including assistance with toileting, hygiene, and showering. This involves full personal care, including cleaning and supporting participants with all hygiene needs.
- Assisting with transfers and mobility, such as moving safely from bed to wheelchair and vice versa.
- Managing and responding appropriately to challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour support strategies and calm communication.
- **About You**:_
- Demonstrated **experience in manual handling**, including assisting participants with transfers (e.g., from bed to wheelchair).
- **Proven experience in providing personal care support, including full hygiene assistance such as toileting, showering, and cleaning.**:

- Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviours (both verbal and physical) using calm, positive, and professional communication.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Good written communication skills for completing mandatory reports and documentation accurately.
- Ability towork independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle with a comprehensive car insurance
- Please be aware that all applicants will be required to undergo a screening process, which includes a NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check, a National Police Check passed to the employer satisfaction.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $38.00 - $44.59 per hour

**Experience**:

- Manual handling: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- WWCC, NDISWC, Recent Police Check (or willing to obtain) (required)
- driver licence with full comprehensive car insurance (required)
