**About the Role**
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Graduate Finance Officer is primarily responsible for monitoring and championing the Purchase Order and Invoicing. This role will also have end-to-end responsibility over the Receivable process - functions that will include, but not be limited to generation of invoices; debt management process for overdue accounts; handling customer inquiries and bank reconciliations. This is a fixed-term role with a possibility of permanency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping out the program accountants and accounts payable & receivable officers in their daily finance functions.
- Ensure the Purchase Orders and Invoices have been entered correctly into the Accounting Software by the Program Managers.
- Enter or upload invoices into the Accounting Software when required.
- Prepare creditor invoices for payment, ensuring that invoices are properly authorised, the amount on the invoice is correct, the taxation legislation has been adhered to AND that all this has been done in compliance with CATW financial policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Program Managers about billing and/or payment discrepancies and queries.
- Keep track of credits owed to the organisation and ensure that these are properly applied to vendor payments.
- Maintain WESTPAC debit Master card system.
- Process charges made to the Executive Credit Cards - ensuring that all charges are supported by receipts and that they are posted to the correct Program Code and General Ledger account.
- Raising invoices and issuing credit memos (when required) for other Program areas.
- Communicating with Clients & Program Managers about billing, payment discrepancies and/or queries.
- Managing the effective collection of the group's accounts receivables thus ensuring both the timely collection of outstanding amounts and the maintenance of outstanding debts at acceptable levels.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support as and when required.
**About You**
***You should be a fresh graduate with a Degree in Finance/Accounting with a commitment to learn and build up your skills in Finance. You will also be well versed in software handling, though not necessarily limited to finance software. In addition, you will possess:
- Moderate level of skills in Excel and understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
- Good attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and articulately with executives, managers, and suppliers and vendors.
- The ability to work independently AND as part of a team.
- Maintain a current 'Working with Vulnerable People' registration.
- Current drivers' licence is desirable
