- Our client is on an exciting transformation journey and this role could be your opportunity to be part of something big- The Data Modelling Lead will provide leadership in logical data modelling across the business. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of the data modelling capability in a complex high profile organisation, influencing stakeholders and driving best practices.- Responsibilities:- Establishing and maintaining logical data model standards, best practices, and guidelines for consistency.
- Developing data modelling capability and governance
- Providing information architecture and data modelling decision governance as part of technical solution design.
- Championing data modelling awareness and processes through training and mentoring.
- Overseeing the definition of data structures, E2E data flow, and pattern mapping.
- Collaborating with delivery teams to capture data requirements and build logical data models.
- Leading data modelling capability within the Data Centre of Excellence.- Requirements:- Strong data modelling, data architecture, and analytical skills.
- Experience in Technical Leadership, capability development, and Solution Design.
- Proficiency with data modelling tools.
- Ability to define and develop dimensional data models and schemas.
- Experience in defining data integration patterns and pipelines.
- Capability to assess complexity of data (volume, structure, relationship, etc.).
- Ability to design information architecture, use available patterns, and define objects and structures.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce stakeholder-ready solution architecture and business understandable presentations.
- Advanced knowledge of data management systems, practices, and standards.
- Strong SQL skills, including performance analysis.
- Experience designing and developing standard reporting and ad-hoc reporting environments.
- Expertise in architecting multi-dimensional cubes, data packages, and reports.
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., IBM DataStage, Microsoft SSIS), RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL), and BI Tools (e.g., Cognos, SSRS, Tableau).- Benefits:- Competitive salary and bonus.
