**The role**:
This is a Part time 0.5EFT Fixed term role for 12 months within the Nutrition and Food Services department and the Complex Care Hub. You will be responsible for the provision of specialist high quality nutritional care to patients with high complexity needs requiring dietary modification or nutritional support and their families. Clinical workload will primarily include provision and improvement of nutritional services for children with complex care needs and their families. This role promotes continuity of care for this patient group by actively facilitating and coordinating nutritional care for discharge planning and in outpatient settings. The role also includes responsibility for a senior portfolio, the provision of clinical supervision and mentoring within the dietetic team, co-ordination and participation in quality activities, and student supervision and teaching. It may also include rotation on the weekend oncall roster.
**What you’ll achieve**:
- Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective
- Provide nutritional care to paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) and nutritional support with the Complex Care Hub
- Offer leadership in areas beyond clinical service including research, teaching, policy development to assist department development and maintenance of high quality services.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including food service and formula room staff, to ensure patient and ward needs are addressed effectively
Classification for this position with range from AK1 - AK4 Grade 3 Year 1 to Grade 3 Year 4 ($104,301 to $121,477)
**Your skills and experience**:
- Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
- Experience in clinical dietetics, minimum of 7 years, including sound background knowledge of paediatrics.
- Professional dietetic performance at an advanced level. His may be demonstrated through the AdvPD credential or eligibility to meet the AdvPD credential criteria.

**About Nutrition and Food Services**:
The Department of Nutrition and Food Services at The Royal Children's Hospital incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients. The Department is also a registered NDIS provider.
