At our bustling long day care and kindergarten, we boast a welcoming and friendly team and a hands-on, supportive and passionate Centre Director. We are a fun-loving, caring workplace with many educator staff who have been with us since we opened. Our management team work closely with every team member to ensure constant development and that everyone feels valued in the caring and education of our children.

What we expect from our Room Leaders:

- Previous experience as room leader (desirable)
- Understanding of current pedagogical thinking and research
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and play
- Experience in guiding children’s behaviours
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including documentation skills.
- Understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs, especially as relevant to 2 - 3-year-olds
- Commitment and skill in providing quality and appropriate experiences and inviting learning environments for children
- Knowledge of the NQS and the implications for centre

About you:

- Diploma ACECQA approved qualification relevant for the role
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (and preferable Anaphylaxis Management, Emergency Asthma Management Training)
- Working with Children Check
- Child protection (CHCPRT001) course or refresher
- Australian work rights

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
