Our Group Risk function is responsible for ensuring the right checks and balances are in place to safeguard the interests of our members.

**Your new role**

Our Group Risk function is led by managers who advocate for their people, are open and approachable, and who share their knowledge.

This is your chance to work with a passionate team who are shaping the Fund’s approach to risk, while delivering excellent outcomes for Fund members and colleagues.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

- Representing AustralianSuper at engagements with APRA and ASIC and supporting maintenance of constructive and open relationships with these regulators.
- Managing responses to complex regulatory requests, including drafting and reviewing letters and reports for regulators.
- Providing oversight and constructive challenge of responses to regulator requests through working closely with the business to understand and interpret regulatory expectations.
- Monitoring completion of agreed action items resulting from regulatory engagements and providing support to colleagues to enable them to respond to action items in line with regulatory expectations.
- Preparing and disseminating minutes and actions arising from meetings with regulators.
- Contributing to the maintenance of the register of regulatory engagements, requests, and actions, and ensuring the Trustee has complete and accurate records of all regulatory interactions.
- Providing advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on engaging with regulators such as through providing training and developing guidance materials. Maintaining and overseeing adherence to the Regulatory Engagement Policy.

**What you’ll need**
- Extensive experience in risk, compliance and/or governance.
- Experience working in or with regulators, or in a public policy setting related to regulation.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services sector, and related laws and regulations, particularly in relation to superannuation.
- Strong understanding of risk management issues, particularly in relation to superannuation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to senior stakeholders with influence.
- Enquiring, curious, challenging and continuous improvement mindset.
- Well-developed ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and operate independently. Experience working with Boards and Senior Level Management Teams.
