Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join Service Stream in our Power team based in at either Epping or CBD.
About the Role

Service Stream’s Power division are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our growing company. You will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the Operations team encompassing financial and non-financial analysis, accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial control and governance as well as continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, Sector Lead and Business Manager, this position will be required to complete all the necessary finance related tasks pertaining to the various projects and contracts of the Sector as well as driving key financial process improvements.

The role will be hands on, yet able to step back and provide objective financial insight at both the Contract and work order level.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Epping, VIC or Melbourne CBD

Reporting Line: Financial Controller
- Power & Water

Key Responsibilities

Critical success factors of the role include:

- Delivery of outstanding business partnership, forecasting, governance and control.
- Delivery of high-quality financial reporting with a strong focus on project performance and cash flow management, providing analysis and insight to support decision making.
- Ability to work with and influence the Operational team to adopt sound financial and governance practices.
- Ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement across Sector Operations.
- The role contributes to the overall Service Steam Group through the provision of strong partnership, professional knowledge, and advice in support of the organisation’s Vision and Values.

This opportunity will suit a highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive client outcomes, and a knack for effective stakeholder engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Completed a Business Degree in Accounting
- CPA / CA qualified
- Proven work experience in a medium to large company, preferably from a maintenance, construction project, manufacturing or similar industry.
- Proven track record in the preparation of financial and management reporting, including forecasts and budgets.
- Strong communication skills and confident in divisional interface with the ability to liaise with multiple Operations teams at various levels of management.
- Ability to manage day-to-day issues and resolve complex problems with a high degree of autonomy, and independent judgement.
- Proactive and flexible approach with the ability to develop new initiatives and streamline processes.
- Experience in using Jobpac, IFS, PowerBI and Jedox is preferable however, not essential.
