**About the role**:
- The Project Officer works as a member of the Improvement branch with responsibility for supporting the delivery of targeted improvement projects aligned to the strategic objectives of the Improvement Branch and aimed at improving the safety and quality of healthcare in Victoria.
- Working in a fast-paced environment and in partnership with clinicians, consumers and other members of the project team, the project officer applies highly developed communication, project management and administrative skills to ensure the professional delivery of SCV improvement projects.
- The role reports to the Manager, Value Based Health Care Team and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of the Improvement Branch initiatives, as well as supporting the branch to deliver against the SCV Corporate Plan and strategic objectives.

**How you'll make a difference**:
- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet agency objectives including:
- Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters
- Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure branch objectives are met.
- Assist in providing advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.
- Assist in developing program initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of high priority issues, risks and trends and support the development of reports, ministerial briefs, Cabinet and agency submissions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate collaboration across the department and with key external stakeholders.
- Share your expertise with others to contribute to the capability across the team and broader department.
- Work across multiple projects, including engaging with stakeholders, and working in multidisciplinary teams to meet emerging pressures and demands, as required.
- Respond flexibly and adapt approaches in order to deliver outcomes in the face of uncertainty.
- Arrange meetings and conferences, including liaison with senior executives and government officials coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Support the day-to-day running of the Improvement branch including provision of secretariat work and other administrative tasks.
