**Your new role**
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Business Partner, the Procurement Specialist role is to guide stakeholders and vendors through the source to the pay process.
Your main responsibility will be to ensure a strategic procurement focus and outcomes as well as building and maintaining a good relationship with Project Services, operations and key stakeholders.
**Roles and responsibilities include**:
- Build and maintain effective business partnering relationship with Project Services, Operations, and other key stakeholders
- Coordinate the provision of tender advice, documentation, training and support across the organisation
- Document and implement an ongoing Contractor Management assurance program with your business streams
- Risk identification and mitigation advice
- Identify collaborative procurement opportunities
- Support implementation of best practice procurement processes such as Corporate and Social Responsibility
- Build uplift in organisational capability in probity, contract management and procurement
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you'll come with demonstrable experience in providing advice on tendering administration and strategic procurement processes, as well as excellent negotiation skills to develop and manage relationships and gain cooperation from internal and external stakeholders. A background in the public sector will be well regarded.
A relevant degree or diploma in procurement, business or finance will be advantageous but non-essential.
