**About the Role**
The Manager Strategic Communication and Engagement provides leadership and strategic management of the EPA’s communication, community outreach, engagement, digital presence (including website and social media), marketing and branding. The Manager Strategic Communication and Engagement is accountable to the Manager Executive Services and External Relations for leading the delivery of communications and engagement activities that enhance EPA’s public image, by providing a contemporary and best practice approach to communication and engagement strategies that successfully manage reputational risk and optimise the EPA brand.

**About Us**
The EPA is South Australia’s independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the _Environment Protection Act 1993_ (EP Act) and the _Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021_ (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

**Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge or Experience**
Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, media, marketing or equivalent.

**Remuneration**
ASO8 ($121,107 - $125,679 per annum) + 11.5% super to your choice of superfund.

**Contract**
Ongoing contract and full time (37.5 hours per week).

**Special Conditions**
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. A current National Police Clearance is essential.
- The incumbent will occasionally be required to travel to sites in country areas and interstate.
- The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and as the need arises.
- A current driver’s licence is essential.
