We need a strong leader to take control of our operations divisions at Sands Fridge Lines. The role requires a strong working knowledge of logistics and transport based around linehaul, pick up and delivery, metropolitan distribution and a significant network of regional supply services to mining sites and isolated facilities. This is a senior role, working with our senior management team to deliver on customer promise and achieve schedules. This opportunity is for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead our operations based out of our facility in Forrestfield, Perth. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a small senior transport and logistics team operating diverse equipment types. Your team will need to deliver the safe, smooth and efficient day-to-day activities of the operations, ensuring service optimisation and legislative compliance. Building our internal abilities to meet today's challenges and allow Sands to take advantage of future growth opportunities. The role requires an experienced energetic logistics and operations manager who leads from the front, is " hands on" with strong people management, and a safety first attitude. - Minimum 5+ years proven senior logistics operations and management experience - Managed fleets in excess of 40 + vehicles - Managed teams of workers in excess of 200 people - Be able to demonstrate a strong safety behaviour and culture - Strong knowledge of logistics management and vehicle maintenance. - Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels. - A track record of delivering operational and financial outcomes in complex environments. - Sound knowledge of compliance requirements for WAHVA. - Ability to foster strong relationships lift organisational capability. **What We Offer** - Competitive salary package - Supportive team culture and leadership - Employee Assistance Program - Free onsite parking Working with us means being part of a family team that values your contribution and supports your professional growth.
