An opportunity to work alongside with our in-house specialist Client Advisors, Counsellors and Psychologists, who will be there to guide and train you pragmatically to provide the best possible outcome for our clients and personnel.
Progress your career in Psychology or Counselling.
We can assist you from start to finish to progress through AHPRA’s now retired 4+2 pathways and the current 5+1 pathways toward full professional registration. As a Counsellor or Psychotherapist, we can also support you obtain registration with various regulatory bodies.
Freedom and Flexibility
You will have the freedom of scheduling your own hours and working independently. There is no minimum or maximum amount of time you need to dedicate to Sykee. We’re incredibly skilled at personalising your roster around your availabilities. You can make Sykee work for you, so we can assist as many in need of specialised mental health support services as possible.
**Pre-employment checklist**:
- Qualification / Tertiary Education Certificate
- A successful National Police Check
- A cleared Working with Children’s Check
- A current Australian Driver’s License and ownership or on-demand use of a roadworthy vehicle
- Current Mental Health First Aid Certificate (preferable but not mandatory)
- Ability to meet the psychosocial and physical requirements of the role
- Patience and an authentic, compassionate desire to help others.
**Position**: Part-Time
**Location**: Sydney Area
Be part of Sykee's growing team of support personnel dedicated to offering an empowering support experience to people with mental health conditions. Help vulnerable people gain the skills and capabilities they need to gain their independence and participate in various community and societal activities.
We assure you get work within 30 minutes of where you live, or less. We service the Greater Sydney area. Any travel related expenses are fully reimbursed including; tolls, parking fees, travel time, and each km travelled.
Typically the role includes:
- Offering mentoring, companionship and social support
- Assisting clients with community re-engagement and therapy coaching
- Transporting and accompanying clients to and from appointments
- Working individually with clients to assist and achieve therapeutic goals.
