This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.

**Your role**

In this role, you will deliver culturally respectful services, including facilitating group-based accredited or approved programs and providing individual support interventions for inmates. Your work will focus on ensuring their safe, secure, and humane management while aiming to reduce re-offending.

The town revolves around its delectable Licorice and Chocolate Factory. But as a stop on the major Melbourne-Sydney railway line, this pretty country town is also home to a fascinating railway museum. And then there’s the haunted house and heritage streetscapes..

**What you’ll do**
- You will assist inmates with pre-release and oversee the documentation and case notes on all inmates receiving services as required.
- This opportunity is for those who are truly passionate about making an impact upon the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- You can help achieve this by guiding your people to transform their lives through intervention and inclusion which in turn benefits the whole community.

**What we’re looking for**
- We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with a background in social work, or professional experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviours.
- A positive minded individual who is resilient by nature and able to effectively build positive relationships within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- One of these requirements must articulate how the role works for the benefit of the Identified communities. For Aboriginal roles, it must also include what kind of cultural capability it therefore requires.

As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons.

- is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
