**Construction Manager Role**

Our client is a well regarded Civil and Earthworks contractor delivering exceptional Civil, Earthworks and Demolition projects across Metropolitan Sydney. Due to recent growth and expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join their team.

**About the Role**

The Construction Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of all construction activities. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop and execute organisational strategic plans and key business initiatives to assist in enhancing the goals of the company. You will have a demonstrated display of strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a deep understanding of the construction industry processes and standards.

A focus of this role will be on Safety, ensuring the CMT are adequately assessing the risks of the job and implementing preventative action when necessary, they must also ensure that the CMT conduct regular checks to maintain the safety of the job sites. All Management of the CMT must be in accordance with the health and safety standards set by the Work Health and Safety Acts and Laws

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsible for leading Project Managers, Site Managers, and Site Supervisors, Contracts Administrators, Allocations Managers and Site Staff (the Construction Management Team). You will need a thorough understanding of, and ability to deliver in the following areas:

- Estimating
- Pre-Construction
- Construction
- Post Construction
- Safety and Compliance
- Quality Control
- Risk Management
- Environment
- Leadership
- Communication

**About You**:

- Extensive experience in Civil, Earthworks, Piling and/or Demolition projects
- Experience in Cost Control and Budgeting
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 project experience (highly desired)
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability in leadership and management of a team in a construction environment
- Confidence to identify and mitigate potential problems
- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Diligent in industry related legislations, guidelines and safework practices
- Understanding of progress reporting of time, cost, quality, and safety
- Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills
- Resolve conflicts, provide training and mentoring to staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
- Identify employees for potential growth and opportunity.
