About Us:
Dunkeld State School is located 57 km south of Mitchell on the Mitchell - St George Road. We are a small school with 9 students enrolled in Prep to Year 6 and 1 Kindergarten registration currently.
At Dunkeld State School we provide high quality education that places a great emphasis on literacy and numeracy. Our school also has a strong focus on music, theatre and sport. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are fully integrated.
We develop pride in self, school and community by instilling values such as respect, responsibility and community participation.
About the Role:
As a Teacher Aide at the Dunkeld State School, you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting our Teaching Principal in a multi-age classroom (Kindy to Year 6), with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development.
Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
Clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and work programs, duplicating and photocopying teaching materials, checking bus lists, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students results records, assisting in organising off site activities etc.
