About Guluguba State school

About the Role
Guluguba State school is a small school located on Fosters Road, Guluguba, 50 km from Miles and 20 km from Wandoan.Applicants will be working across Prep to Year 6 supporting a range of diverse learners.
Duties will include but are not restricted to
- Assist and support teachers in the preparation of quality and effective teaching and learning programs.
- Supervision and supporting small groups of students in and out of the classroom, including during Promoting Literacy Development (PLD).
- Supervision and supporting small groups of students and individual 1:1 support to assist students to access the curriculum.
- Assist teachers in providing for the physical, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing and physical safety of students at school.
- Supervision of students on the playground, during sporting activities and school excursions in partnership with a teacher.
Ideally applicants would have prior experience working as a Teacher Aide and would have the following attributes:
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a group of students.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow the guidance of teachers.
- Willingness to adapt to the specific needs of each student & maintain a positive attitude.
- Applicants need to demonstrate an understanding of inclusive education practices and skills that align with DoE's vision of Equity and Excellence.
