**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Pinnacle Drinks Merchandise team in a newly created role.
As the Product Innovation Specialist you will work alongside the Product Innovation Manager to take responsibility for the development of Pinnacle innovative products as well as identify new and emerging trends in the beer,cider, Spirits, RTD and wine category. Primarily focused on our Own Brand product development, you will also identify potential exclusive brand product innovation in all categories.
You will take a technical approach of the products and manufacturing processes to develop an innovative range of products which will drive sales, gross profit and penetration of the Pinnacle brand portfolio within the Endeavour Retail Brands, Dan Murphys and BWS, but also create excitement, respectability and foot traffic in the Endeavour network.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Understand the category's evolution via a data-led approach, using customer insights to identify and define the next generation products opportunities
- Ensure full alignment on project deliveries and timelines with the Project management team, as well as Endeavour QA compliance
- Maintain up to date contractual relationships with the supply partners across all portfolios.
- Engage with external partners as well as sub-contracting parties to design and craft new products in the Pinnacle Portfolio
- Upgrading the existing portfolio, while engaging with supply partners working end to end with the different stakeholders within the organisation
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**
- **Related technical knowledge & manufacturing experience in the alcoholic beverages industry; degree in Food & Beverages Technology or related discipline**:
- **NPD and product commercialization experience, including trend analysis, delivering new innovative products & solutions in a complex environment**:
- **Proven retail buying experience with excellent knowledge of merchandising**:
- **Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships**:
- **Excellent communication and negotiation skills**:
- **Strong numerical and analytical skills**:
- **Understanding and knowledge of the alcoholic beverages industry (for example, WSET certifications)**:
- **Intermediate MS Office experience**:
- **Strong business acumen with a strong vision for trend setting and leadership**:
- **Sound understanding of global sourcing procedures**:
- **A customer centric attitude and a passion for the liquor industry**:
- **Previous experience in Retail/FMCG experience will be highly regarded**
