**Description**:
About the role
Pharmacare Operations is seeking a motivated and results-driven Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing facility based in Prestons, working night shifts from Monday-Wednesday 6pm-6.40am.
The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for coordinating all machine-related operations in manufacturing and supporting infrastructure, ensuring efficiency while upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards. This role focuses on both routine maintenances, troubleshooting and advanced-level machine settings to keep operations running smoothly.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your key areas of accountability include, but not limited to:

- Liaise with relevant individuals to ensure required machines are available and in acceptable condition.
- Install & commission new machines.
- Work with production team to complete technical aspects of machine setting.
- Train Manufacturing Technicians in agreed skills so that they can support or complete less complex technical aspects of machine setting.
- Plan and co-ordinate machine maintenance and machine setting activities to meet production targets.
- Ability to source spare parts and maintenance consumables.
- Maintain a process for managing inventory of maintenance materials.
- Ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the factory is maintained at the highest possible standards.
- Consult with the Engineering & Facilities Manager for all technical-related tasks.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

**Skills and Experiences**:
QUALIFICATION
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications
- Restricted Electrical Licence (desirable)
- Working at Heights Certificate (desirable)
- Confined Space Certificate (desirable)
- Forklift Licence (desirable)

EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance and machine setting, preferably in a TGA/GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Experience of machines in production process
- Experience in managing situations with tight quality and efficiency parameters
- Experience with machine installation & commissioning
- Experience with mechanical fault finding
- Experience with machining, welding, fabrication
- Basic use of Microsoft Office packages
