Electrical Fitter

**Electrical Fitter required at our Preston facility.**

Downer Rail & Transit Systems is actively delivering a wide range of projects across the nation. We leverage our in-house expertise to provide integrated solutions in rolling stock, rail systems, operations, and maintenance. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our rail services through hands-on work and technical skills.

**About the role**:
Our Electrical Fitters are a vital part of the Downer Rail and Transit Reworks team. This role works a rotating roster between morning and afternoon shifts, you will be responsible for the modifications of new and refurbished rolling stock. Additionally, you will perform a variety of electrical and technical support tasks, contributing to the overall maintenance and efficiency of our tram services.

**Specific desired skills and experience**:

- Trade qualified - Electrical Cert 4 or a grade
- Background in manufacturing and/or production
- Understand build plan work
- work towards a schedule.
- Knowledge and understanding in Schematics.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be a hands-on team player.
- Proven ability to organise and priorities tasks.
