**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Scheduler to be involved in sustainment of Defence's current Naval capability. You be responsible for developing and maintaining the schedule for ship maintenance readiness and for preparing work package. You will play a vital role is managing the project's schedule supporting joined planning activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule for maintenance activities.
- Ensure resources requirements are available for each task.
- Update the schedule during maintenance periods.
- Provide reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Conduct what if scenarios in the schedule to determine the impact of additional or new work.
- Assist planning in the development and control of work packages for maintenance availability periods.
- Support the maintenance team in the selection of subcontractors for maintenance.
- Adhere to project budget and compiling cost reports.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Master Scheduler
- Improve work force productivity by identifying conflicts in the schedule and offering potential solutions.

**SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED**
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
- Technical/Trade Background with post trade qualifications (Cert IV, Diploma or equivalent)
- Proven skills and experience in the development of detailed and complex project schedules in a maintenance environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of planning and scheduling within a maintenance or Project environment.
- Experience integrating data from an Enterprise system (such as SAP) into the scheduling tool.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in trade work planning activities. Marine industry preferred.
- Advanced skills in a computer-based scheduling tool such as MS Project, Open Plan or Prima Vera.
- Good project management skills.
- Experience in a Marine or Naval environment will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results whilst working to deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and clients.
