Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre Ltd (also called Spectrum), is a leading not-for-profit organisation that delivers culturally appropriate and responsive services to people with migrant and refugee backgrounds in Melbourne’s northwest. We help individuals and families through a range of services including migration, settlement, family and parenting support, inclusion, aged care, and more.

About the role:
As a Program Officer, your work is impactful and meaningful. You bring to this role a particular affinity for caregivers, recognising the invaluable role that they play in supporting their loved ones. You'll work across a number of our programs, giving you insight on services and supports that will make all the difference to clients and carers alike. They’ll trust you to interview, assess, and most importantly - to understand them and their needs, in order to improve their lives and wellbeing. You’ll be appreciated not just for your professional know-how, but your positivity and enthusiasm in building relationships with clients, carers, and external service providers.

To do this role, you will need:

- A Diploma of Community Services or equivalent
- Working history in Aged Care and/or Disability

We’d love to hear from you about any or all of the below:

- Knowledge of Aged Care programs and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Experience in case management and/or service coordination
- Understanding of CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programs) or HACC (Home and Community Care Program) and the Support at Home model
- Your holistic and person-centred approach to supporting your clients
- Your desire to make a positive difference in the lives of clients and carers
- Your excellent communication skills
- Any lived or professional experience that helps you understand the role and needs of carers
