The safety of our people is one of our main priorities. Do you want to contribute to the safety of our people and drive a sustainable safety policy for Marel in Asia and Oceania? Do you want to bring safety to a whole new level? Then we are looking forward meeting you as our new **Area HSE Manager**. In this role you will primarily focus on Marel’s HSE Policy in Asia and Oceania, where you will focus on the safety at our customers sites. In this role you will work very closely with our Global HSE Manager, Global Field Service Director and other main stakeholder in our organization.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Identify legal requirements and prepare legal register and ensure legal compliance for each location
- Provide HSE advice and guidance to managers as required to enable compliance with local legislation and the Marel HSE Policy
- Establish and deliver a HSE training plan to comply with local legislation and Group HSE Policy in order to cover significant risks on site
- Maintain a record of accidents and incidents and monitor completion of follow up actions and ensure that adequate investigation and analysis is completed
- Monitor compliance with agreed site HSE policies and procedures at customers sites
- Conduct risk assessments and inspections at customer sites for maintenance, installation, and other activities
- Establish and maintain HSE procedures and guidance to enable compliance with local legislation and the Group HSE policies
- Manage and prepare HSE documentation as per customer demands
- Participate in global continuous improvement HSE projects

- Have a Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant area
- Have a good understanding of the Legal/Local Safety Requirements in the Australia. Experience in other Asia countries is an advantage
- Are passionate about Safety and you preferably have experience in establishing safety policies in a Global environment.
- Are a strong communicator and have a good command of English.
- Are well organized and strong in Stakeholder Management. Furthermore, you are able to work independently
- Are willing to travel 10 - 30% of your time
- Experience with working in a (technical) service environment is an advantage
