What’s the job?

The Chief of Staff to the CEO is a pivotal role, acting as a strategic partner of the CEO to support and align the institution’s executive leadership team with its mission, goals, and operations. The Chief of Staff facilitates collaboration across academic and administrative functions, ensuring efficient decision-making and execution of strategic priorities. This trusted role requires a proactive, resourceful individual adept at navigating complexity, fostering relationships, and driving initiatives to position the university as a leader in higher education across Australia and New Zealand.

We Are Looking For:
Professional Experience:
Consulting Background: Experience working in a consulting firm/environment, bringing a strategic and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Project Management: Proven track record of successfully executing high-impact projects across different departments within an organization.

Leadership Roles: Experience in leadership positions, demonstrating the ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.

Key Skills and Qualities:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical perspective, capable of interpreting data and providing actionable insights.

Stakeholder Management: Skilled in working with challenging stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships.

Drive and Grit: Demonstrated resilience and determination in achieving goals, thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
