**About the Role**

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting new opportunity within our Food & Beverage division for an experienced individual to manage our food & beverage casual talent pool. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment, training and development of our team with an emphasis on delivering great customer service to our clients and event partners.

You will forge strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, sourcing exceptional talent in support of our exciting and diverse events staged at Sydney Showground. This role requires you to be hands-on and confident with all elements of recruitment, onboarding and the booking of casual staff.

An important part of this role requires you to have a strategic mindset focusing on continuous improvement in our workforce availability, retention, rostering and deployment. You will be a champion for change whilst also leading our food and beverage casual team.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

- Experience in recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Experience in workforce analysis and developing resourcing and supply strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to build your network and talent pool to ensure workforce requirements for the business are met
- Previous experience and knowledge in major events or hospitality
- Experience in managing budgets
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to adapt quickly to change
- Previous experience using workforce booking systems (E-tivity or similar)

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
