**About the Role**

**Sydney Showground** is a world-class venue, delivering close to 150 national and international events each year, including music festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, trade shows and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the flagship event of the RAS and the nation's largest annual ticketed event.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Food & Beverage Duty Manager** to join our Sydney Showground Team This is an initial 6 month contract, with possibility of extension. This role is responsible for managing all food & beverage requirements and resources for our diverse range of events.

This role would suit someone who has a passion for events and customer service, thrives under pressure and thinks dynamically on their feet. Not only will you be responsible for the administration pre & post the event, including resource allocation but you will be hands on during the event to deliver the highest standard of service to clients and their guests.

**About you**

You will be hospitality superstar who prides themselves on exemplary leadership, and logístical operations, but creative enough to think outside the box.

You will also have:

- Experience as a hospitality Duty Manager with exposure to events
- Intermediate skills in Ungerboeck or similar event management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to liaise and communicate with multiple stakeholders
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude who takes pride in doing an excellent job
- Resilience with the ability to adapt quickly and innovatively in an event environment
- Current RSA certificate - essential
- Current NSW drivers license - essential

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
