The Manager, Solutions Consulting will directly supervise, manage and train a team of Solutions Consultants in becoming experts in the Company’s software and their ability to perform demonstrations of all the Company’s accounting modules to prospective and current customers. The Manager, Solutions Consulting, will supervise Solutions Consultants as they support the field sales and account management teams and their development of positive and effective relationships with prospective and current clients and internal departments to insure client expectations are exceeded and ultimately, sales opportunities are won.
**Responsibilities**:
- Keep current on new product functionality and its proper use
- Supervise, manage and train a team of Solutions Consultants
- Coordinate a team of Solutions Consultants’ workflow, assign project tasks as needed
- Supervise a team of Solutions Consultant’s support of the field sales and account management teams through answering prospect technical, software and accounting questions
- Supervise Solutions Consultants’ performance of “needs analysis calls” on prospective and current clients to ensure that BlackLine understands their challenges thoroughly and accurately to enable BlackLine associates to deliver relevant and pertinent demonstrations
- Supervise a team of Solutions Consultants’ performance of quality demonstrations to the Company’s prospective and current clients through webinars, on-site presentations and trials
- Provide effective coaching and support to Solutions Consultants when they are performing standard and custom demonstrations to prospective and current clients
- Document relevant activities in Salesforce and other tools as assigned
- Assist in BlackLine Community as a Moderator
- Provide feedback to Product Management team related to new functionality specifications and updates to demo database
- Initiate regular 1:1’s with each member of their direct team to provide a strong level of managerial interaction and offer regular coaching and encouragement.
- Establish a cadence of Solution Consulting Team Meetings to support and encourage bi-directional communication
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Five plus years of experience making presentations and the ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills and providing coaching to solutions consultants
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Experience with automated accounting or financial management software (ERP, CPM)
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with prospects, clients and staff
- Strong ability to demonstrate and persuade using influencing skills and relating to customers in a consultative manner without being pushy or twisting arms
- Proven ability to handle customer objections and address them effectively
- Experience with software or the comfort level to understand and pick it up quickly
- Be a motivated self-starter
- Travel as needed to visit clients, perform job interviews, conduct training and attend meetings
- CPA
- Experience using BlackLine’s or competitor software in the past
