**An exciting opportunity now exists, to join the leadership team of Aegis Health Medical Centre for the start of 2025, to support and lead our team in Murdoch.**

Aegis Health has evolved from the Aegis Group’s extensive experience in care provision, to develop innovative healthcare services. At Murdoch Square, these integrated health services comprise of a Private hospital, Mental Health inpatient and day services, Surgical services, General Practice and Urgent Care Centre (GP UCC).
The Aegis Health GP UCC, will provide clinically appropriate community-based and patient-centred health care to patients, including urgent care services for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries for patients who would otherwise have attended an emergency department.
**About the Role**
The responsibilities and accountabilities of the role are challenging and include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain policy and procedure for the GP UCC.
- Ensure the adherence to appropriate clinical pathways, policies and procedures through a risk management approach in care delivery.
- Lead accreditation processes against relevant standards.
- Drive workforce development programs and seek opportunities for ongoing professional education.
- Ensure clinical documentation and administrative and management tasks including the collation and reporting of statistical data.
- Work collaboratively to support other health professionals and staff in the performance of their clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Provide leadership within the service and represent Aegis Health in collaboration and partnership meetings with external stakeholders, to meet organisational and service objectives.
- Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the practice.
- Human Resources - resource planning, leave approvals, timesheet approvals, involvement in recruitment processes, provision of team support & coaching, staff reviews, performance management, and coordination of staff training.
- Financial - accuracy of accounts, debtor management, input into practice budgets and management of practice expenses within the approved budget.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives and processes for the practice.
- Change management - support the team through change to sustain and help grow the practice.
- Other duties as outlined in the Position Description.

**You need to have**
- Diploma in Practice Management OR a Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Practice Manager within the last 5 years.
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Knowledge of billing and claims processes.
- Demonstrated well-developed leadership experience in the establishment, delivery and evaluation of services.
- Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
- Recognised Nursing qualification and current registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia would be desirable.
