**About the Opportunity**

This is a 10-month maternity leave cover commencing in August.

This role is vital in co-creating and enabling the delivery of the Contract Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Strategy. As part of a collaborative and innovative team, you will drive practices that align with Serco’s values of trust, care, pride, and innovation, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people and the environment.

**What you’ll be doing**

In this role, you will manage and support the HSE team to execute the Contract HSE Strategy and AsPac HSE Framework while reporting on HSE performance and events to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

You'll build organisational capability to minimise human risk in partnership with senior leaders, and implement and evaluate injury services and wellbeing practices to enhance workers' compensation performance.

Additionally, you will develop and deliver statistical reports and trend data analysis for effective risk management, maintain Contract and Divisional Management Systems to meet Australian and International Standards, and coach and assist with early supportive leadership of all HSE incidents.

You will also implement, coordinate, and deliver HSE projects, practices, and events, and establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations and key stakeholders.

**About you**

You are a proactive and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of SEW strategies and practices. Your communication skills enable you to effectively coach and influence both executive and operational leaders. You are agile, creative, and autonomous in your work, consistently striving to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.

**Your ideal skills & experience**
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation
- Tertiary qualification in WHS Management with over 5 years of experience
- Root cause investigation training (TapRoot/ICAM)
- Auditing experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with limited supervision
