SME Gateway is a professional services capability provider to Defence, federal, state and local government clients. Our success comes from over 400 small to medium enterprise subcontracting members across Australia, who participate in our capability provisioning programs.
This has allowed Australia’s industry capability and expertise to develop as a direct result of government spending for nearly twenty years, whilst ensuring contracted capability is underwritten by our extensive network; incorporating some 6,000 skilled, experienced and security cleared individuals.
With a successful track record and a long history of meeting client needs, SME Gateway provides an opportunity for our contracting members to benefit from shorter industry entry times, whilst our Defence and government clients enjoy improved value for money, lower risk and far greater resource depth.
**About The Role**
- Provide oversight and direction to Operations Team Managers and staff, ensuring their activities, performance and output align with company goals.
- Be accountable for the production and timely execution of client contracts and supporting documents.
- Negotiate contract terms with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure contract deliverables are met
- Analyse potential risks involved with specific contract terms
- Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with executive management as needed
- Maintain company systems and physical and digital records
- Support a collaborative environment within SME Gateway
- Create internal reports as required
- Undertake other duties as directed
**About You**
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Has NV1 Security Clearance (desirable) or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role working for Defence, Labour, or other Government panels
- Experience in operations and productivity management
- Leadership skills with the ability to develop teams and individuals to achieve their potential
- Time management, attention to details, and prioritising skills, with proven capacity to meet deadlines
- Ability to engage and develop partnerships at all organisational levels and with various stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated & work well unsupervised
