**Mail Order Assistant - Position Description**

**Employment Status**: Casual moving to Permanent part time

**Location**: Beauty and the Bees Factory

**Hours Per Week**:3 - 4 days per week

**Beauty and the Bees**

Beauty and the Bees is an established, highly respective, innovative Tasmanian natural hair and skincare company making products made by hand from nutrient-rich Tasmanian fruits, berries, seaweed, hops, olive oil, honey and herbs, all from local apiaries, beaches, dairies, forests and farms, as well as rare ingredients like Leatherwood Honey and Beeswax found only in Tasmania. Beauty and the Bees products are primarily made in Tasmania and sold through a dedicated retail outlet in Hobart with a thriving mail order business.

**Role Purpose**

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mail Order Assistant is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient mail order functions. The Mail Order Assistant works in a team environment providing outstanding customer service and supporting the Production Manager with a wide range of mail order tasks. The Mail Order Assistant is responsible for implementing quality control systems and ensuring procedures are adhered to.

**Key Areas of Accountability**

**Mail Order**
- Follow up and resolve mail order issues - including for example, lost orders etc
- Picking, packing and restocking product

**Customer Enquiries**
- Act as the main point of contact for all customer enquiries, providing product, invoicing and service advice and resolving issues.
- Build positive and constructive relationships with customers.
- Maintain high level of knowledge of Beauty and the Bees products and values.

**Market and Shop Restocking**
- Weekly restocking of market and shop supplies

**Team Culture**
- Ensure effective and constructive communication and relationships exist with all team members.
- Provide accurate and timely information as required.
- Adopt a positive, solutions focused attitude to all tasks

**Health and Safety**
- Act in a safe manner at all times, including complying with all safety instructions and training given at the workplace
- Participate in, and contribute to, health and safety awareness and improvements
- Comply with emergency evacuation procedures
- Report all incidents, injuries and potential hazards in a timely manner

**Person Specification**

**Essential knowledge or experience**
- Highly developed customer service experience in a retail environment
- Experience with business software including Xero, Starshipp it and Woocommerce

- Be fit and healthy with the ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.

**Desirable qualifications and/or accreditations**
- Training and/or qualifications in retail/administration

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $33.19 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
