**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Base salary $67,229 + 11.5% superannuation + Maintenance Allowance
- Fortnightly RDO
- Supportive team culture

Our Open Space & Environment Department is seeking a self-motivated team member to assist in the maintenance and protection of key open space assets including parks and gardens.

Your key responsibilities include:

- Horticulture maintenance work to ensure compliance with Asset Management Plans and other service levels.
- Safe operation of a variety of plant & equipment currently used in Horticulture maintenance including mowers, brush cutters, spray equipment and chainsaws.
- Pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment used.
- Adopting safety procedures that ensure the protection of employees and the public.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You will have knowledge and experience in parks and gardens maintenance or a similar role and, have an understanding of how to safely and competently undertake a range of open space management duties, including the use of a variety of plant and equipment.

You will be known for your excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work well within a team. You must also be prepared to work between our Leongatha and Foster depot locations.

You will have the following certificates and licenses:

- Horticultural maintenance experience and a variety of plant and equipment
- Construction Industry Red/White Card
- Current manual Drivers License

The following are also desirable for this role:

- Horticultural knowledge / qualifications
- Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
