**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Based from our Leongatha Depot
- Base salary $67,229 + 11.5% superannuation + maintenance allowance
- Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm with fortnightly RDO

Are you looking for a position that plays a key role in supporting the community? Do you want to be part of a supportive and functioning team?

This position is part of Infrastructure Maintenance department who are responsible for maintaining Council's road, infrastructure, bridge and waterway assets, plant maintenance and replacement program.

This role forms part of the Operational Support unit who oversee aspects critical to the efficient functioning of the department, including sign maintenance and line marking.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Receive & respond to routine work order requests relating to signage and line marking
- Contribute to the prioritisation of work orders
- Assist members of the public with their enquiries
- Pre-operation inspections & routine maintenance on plant and equipment
- Record activities undertaken, complete checks & traffic management via mobile phone
- Resolve routine problems pertaining to the immediate job

**ABOUT YOU**:
To be successful for this role you will are:

- Reliable, have a great attitude and good attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with your team and the community.
- Relevant experience and sound knowledge of the operation of relevant plant, machinery and equipment utilised in road maintenance activities.
- An understanding of road maintenance principals.
- Civil related plant and equipment qualification and/or competencies (or willing to obtain).
- Physically capable to carry out manual labouring tasks.
- Ability to understand and follow OH&S policies and procedures.
- Current Drivers Licence.
