**Compliance Manager - Retail - CBD**

**Company Background**

Our client is a PE backed retail & services business that has grown exponentially in the last 10 years. They are close to almost 200 sites across ANZ.

They are still on a growth trajectory and the team needs an experienced Internal Audit / Compliance Manager to partner with the franchisees on operational standards & procedures.

The Corporate HQ in Sydney has a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Most of the Head Office staff have been there for a number of years and work very well together.

**The Role**

This role has been created to support the management team with the following tasks:

- Lead and provide assurance around workplace compliance and reporting.
- Drive a consistent approach in workplace related activities across the network
- Act as the primary point of contact for all workplace related matters
- Proactively support the operators/franchisees in their understanding and compliance with Fair Work and legislation (onboarding, training. and advice)
- Travel to site to engage with the operators/franchisees
- Monitor compliance via regular reporting, certification, site visits, and internal audits
- Stay up to date with changes to Fair Work, and related regulatory developments, communicate the change to operators/franchisees, and update the compliance program
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance systems, processes, and controls

**Your Background**

This is a unique role so we are open to backgrounds. The remuneration will be reflective of your years of relevant experience, seniority, and qualifications. The essential criteria are:

- An understanding of employment legislation and WH&S
- Experience in a multi-site (ideally franchised) business
- Internal audit & compliance experience
- A self-starter with the ability to make strong relationships, work out the needs of the business, and influence stakeholders
- The ability to travel interstate regularly (more so as you build relationships)
