**The Role**:
At Make-A-Wish, we have an exciting newly created opportunity for a **Volunteer Capacity Coordinator** to join the Volunteer Programs Team in Melbourne to look at the growth of our virtual teams and how we can strategically and creatively engage volunteers across the country.

**Responsibilities of this Role**
- Supporting and growing our virtual volunteer teams
- Creating networks of skilled volunteers to assist in enabling us to grant wishes to critically ill children
- Identifying opportunities for those on our volunteer waitlist and implementing strategies to reduce the overall wait time for prospective volunteers
- Working collaboratively with the Volunteer Experience Stream to identify development opportunities and to ensure capacity is built with a positive and impactful volunteer experience in mind
- Effectively communicating with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation
- Assisting the Recruitment and Onboarding team with general volunteer recruitment needs
- Reporting to track and identify recruitment targets, program health, capacity of volunteers, impact, and to inform future action plans
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our volunteer programs
- Working collaboratively with the Volunteer Programs team to grow, support, develop and empower our growing volunteer group across Australia
- Providing general support to our volunteers and promoting a positive volunteering culture at Make-A-Wish

**About You**:

- Experience in the recruitment and attraction of volunteers
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to build strong and effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- The ability to identify areas for improvement and to come up with creative and resourceful solutions
- Strong attention to detail
- A people-person who thrives in a collaborative working environment
- Someone excited to be part of growing our volunteer network to that we can grant more wishes
- A creative thinker
