**How will I help?**
As a Credit Officer (CO) you will deliver a professional credit risk capability for the business by achieving critical business and portfolio outcomes including risk / reward, credit coaching, customer advocacy and operational risk effectiveness.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- On granting of a Credit Authority Limit (CAL) a CO will ensure that all serviceability assessments and credit decisions within CAL are soundly based, involve appropriate research / analysis and reflect the bank’s current underwriting standards, policies and risk appetite for the segment
- Deal submission screening and pre-checking against minimum standards checklists
- Performing accurate serviceability calculations using the proprietary RAP Calculation tool
- Turns transactions around within service level agreement times whist maintaining a quality book
- Keeps the broker / banker informed of the transaction progress / decision and where necessary, sells conditioned approval / declined decisions
- Supports a partnership between the first line and credit with a shared approach to facilitate deals and deliver high quality / high volume outcomes
- Fosters relationships (e.g. brokers, bankers) to achieve the best outcomes for the organisation
- Carries out work in a professional manner
- Provides coaching support to brokers on equipment finance lending techniques and practices
- Responsible for own ongoing development and achievement / maintenance of position accreditation requirements

**What do I need?**
- 1-2 years relevant banking / credit experience preferable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred.
