We seek Diploma qualified Educators for Mia Mia Child and Family Study Centre and Waratah Cottage, Early Learning Centres operating at Macquarie University.

Reporting to the Room Leader, you will be an advocate for children, believe in quality early education and the value of relationships, and be willing to collaborate with the university community. ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate and dedicated early childhood educator who:
- Contributes to the educational program, including maintaining developmental records,- Interacts respectfully and positively with children and families,- Works collaboratively and respectfully within a large and diverse team,- Maintains a current understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards,- Supports and actively contributes to all diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives,- Demonstrates a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement,- Undertakes the Responsible Person and/or Room Leader roles as required, and- Follows approved policies and procedures to ensure children's safety, including child protection, supervision, health and wellbeing).

QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS- ACECQA approved Diploma in early childhood education- Approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification- Working with Children Check (please provide clearance number in the resume)- Food Handling training- Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years is desirable- You share our organisational values of Courage, Agility, Rigour, Empowerment and Support (CARES) and commit to these being visible in your actions and words.

SELECTION CRITERIA- Hold the required qualifications and training listed above,- Experience contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality, inclusive, educational programs,- Sound understanding of child development and knowledge of appropriate strategies for interacting with young children,- Demonstrated experience in effectively supervising and children and maintaining a clean and safe environment,- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills,- Sound understanding and knowledge of the regulations and laws related to early childhood (eg Child Protection, NQF, WHS),- Ability and willingness to contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
