Chinese Speaking Procurement Officer

Cornick Pty Ltd is an importer and distributor of the best brands in electronic security products, LED lighting, networking products and solar battery systems.
We are seeking an intelligent, highly motivated Procurement Officer to work directly with our Procurement Manager and become an integral part of our country-wide distribution team.
**How you will make an impact**
- Purchase of goods and services specified by various department requests and requisitions within required timeframes
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Maintain detailed purchase order records including shipment costings and supplier correspondence
- Liaise with logistics professionals to achieve desired shipment outcomes
- Proactively provide advice and information to departments in relation to purchasing outcomes and procurement status
- Regularly monitor supplier performance and inform decision making by comparison against current external offers
- Maintain a professional working relationship with a diverse range of suppliers
- Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals
- Perform inventory inspections and lodge returns
- Manage inventory and reconcile stock holdings
**Your qualities**
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese language skills are essential as we deal with a range of Chinese suppliers
- Prior experience or study in procurement/logistics or a related field are preferred
- Excellent written and verbal negotiation skills
- Great organizational and planning skills
- The ability to identify market trends and make useful decisions
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
