**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Early Years Department. As the Strategic Projects Officer you will join the Early Years Planning Team to plan and implement strategic and operational projects.

With direction from the Planning Lead, the Strategic Projects Officer will play a key role in strategic research, policy analysis and translation, monitoring and evaluation activities for the Early Years Department and for Council's role as a planner and advocate for early years services across the municipality.

This is a full-time permanent role based at the Civic Centre: renumeration will be $95,488.69 - $104,288.00 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

**What you will bring to this role**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Demonstrated commitment to working in a way that reflects Knox City Council and Early Years Department values which includes working in an integrated, collaborative and innovative way with others.
- Demonstrated experience in or substantial knowledge of the early years and family support service system in Victoria and Australia, including the role/s of local government in Victoria.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in strategic research, policy analysis and translation, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a variety of complex tasks concurrently in line with agreed objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish sound and trusting working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
