About Us:
The International Disability Expo is the leading event for showcasing innovative solutions, support services, and opportunities for people with disabilities. As we prepare for our 2025 expo in September, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Expo & Events Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in delivering a successful event.
Role Overview:
As the Expo & Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for securing exhibitors and sponsors, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and managing day-to-day operations for the expo. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in event management, sponsorship, or the disability sector, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibitor & Sponsor Recruitment:
- Identify, engage, and secure exhibitors and sponsors for the expo.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure ongoing support and satisfaction.
- Event Coordination:
- Act as the main point of contact for all expo-related queries.
- Coordinate exhibitor requirements and ensure smooth logistics and delivery of services during the event.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and event staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote exhibitor and sponsor opportunities.
- Assist in creating promotional materials and content for potential exhibitors and sponsors.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of exhibitor and sponsor details, agreements, and communications.
- Prepare regular progress reports for management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in event coordination, sponsorship management, or a related field (experience in the disability sector is highly desirable).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a high level of initiative.
- Availability to transition to full-time hours from May 2025.
