**The Role**
The ICT Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of personnel and information security for the Directorate Deployed ICT. The ICT Security Manager will undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence along with detailed technical, operational, professional and procedural advice in relation to complex problems to all relevant stakeholders and the Director.
The ICT Security Manager will manage one or more operational teams and is expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within Deployed ICT. They will provide timely advice and manage the processes administrating physical and Information Security i.e. the Network accreditation procedures and audit requirements.
Applicants deemed suitable with exceptional skills, experience or expertise may be eligible for an Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA) in accordance with the IFA provisions of the Defence Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020. This may include additional remuneration and/or the variation of other conditions. In these cases, total remuneration will comprise of base salary + IFA additional remuneration + superannuation.

CIOGs Defence Strategic Communications Branch is seeking an appropriately experienced and skilled Security Manager to manage physical and information security for the Deployed ICT Program team.
- Skills to perform critical and complex security assurance activities ensuring the organisation aligns to the Defence Security Principles Framework and IT Security manual controls. Provide advice on system accreditation and security compliance under broad direction.
- Effective problem solving, deductive reasoning skills and capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance business outcomes.
- Skills to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in teamwork and mentor organisational team members to be security conscience.
- Skills to assess design packages including scoping, planning, reviewing, provide recommendations and contribute to the implementation of actions.
- Skills to manage workflows, resources, of a small team including detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes.
- Skills to monitor compliance of security administration procedures and review information systems for actual or potential breaches in security.
