Head of Data - $200-$230k + Super - Hybrid

An established Australian organisation is embarking on a major transformation, reshaping how data, cloud and AI are used to make smarter, faster, and more connected decisions.

They're now looking for a
Head of Data
to lead this journey, someone who can set direction, elevate capability, and bring clarity and confidence to how the business uses data at scale. This role combines strategy, delivery and leadership in equal measure, giving you the autonomy to shape a modern data function from the ground up.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Setting the long-term data vision and strategy across the enterprise
  • Leading the design and build of a scalable, cloud-based data platform (Snowflake / Azure environment)
  • Driving data governance, quality and security frameworks that build trust in data
  • Partnering closely with business and analytics leaders to turn insight into action
  • Enabling AI-driven analytics, predictive modelling and automation across teams
  • Leading, coaching and developing a national team of data professionals
  • Championing modern data practices and embedding a culture of innovation

What you'll bring

  • A track record leading enterprise-scale data transformation or modernisation programs
  • Deep understanding of cloud and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, etc.)
  • Strong experience across data governance, architecture and MDM
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to translate technical complexity into business impact
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for innovation and emerging data technologies
