Manage Financial Operations
- Canberra based client

Approach are currently seeking a Financial Manager for a Canberra based client. The role would be well suited to an APS6 looking to take the next step in their career, or an experienced EL1.

As the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems
- Provide financial advice and support to management and staff
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in areas of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Sound knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPA or CA qualification preferred
