**What You Will Be Doing**

Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced and person centred focused Orthotist/Prosthotist to join our multi-disciplinary team in the orthopaedic outpatient department. The casting technician is accountable for the provision of outpatient services via the Outpatient clinics and works with the nominated nurse in charge and Nurse Unit Manager to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure familiarity with the expected standards of performance in the role and actively contribute to own personal development.
- Plan, evaluate and review nursing care in consultation with the patient, carers and multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide safe and competent care within scope of practice

**Essential Criteria**
- Hold or progressing towards Certificate IV in Cast Technology (AIOT Website)
- Open and Effective communication skills
- Effective Problem solving skills
- Able to function in a reliable and courteous manner
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
