We are a key suppler for commercial, industrial and residential construction projects throughout Australia. Recent growth has seen increased demand for this important role.

A full-time opportunity exists for a **Trades Assistant** to join our great team.

The Trades Assistant will assist the Factory Manager and tradespeople wherever needed, including operation of the factory machines, production planning and general maintenance. The person is also required to work as a team member in a busy manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include:

- Read work orders and drawings.
- Operate timber machines including CNC routers, wall saws, and the hot press.
- Select materials from racks accordingly.
- Manufacture doors and door products.
- Assist with quality assurance.
- Assist with packing.

**Experience**
- 6 months of experience in similar work such as timber joinery, cabinetry, carpentry or CNC machine operation is preferred.
- Ability to use power tools such as routers, drills and circular saws.
- Computer literate (for CNC operation)

**Skills**
- Knowledge of timber manufacturing processes (preferred).
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Leadership.
- Teamwork.

**Work Hours**

The basic core hours of work for this position will be as follows**:Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm, Friday 6am to 12pm.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $47,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
