Our purpose-built workshop in Kurri Kurri, designed specifically for major mining equipment projects, is fully equipped with cranage and state-of-the-art facilities. Under new management, we're looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team and be part of this next chapter.

The Role

We're seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mechanical Fitter with experience on heavy equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in working to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Interpret technical drawings
• Maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Assist in developing build and repair. Scopes of work including time and cost budgeting

What You'll Bring

• Recognised Trade qualifications (Mechanical Fitter or similar)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, underground mining equipment experience highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in hydraulics and hosing (highly desirable).
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug & alcohol testing.
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Computer skills (highly regarded)
• Interest in career progression (highly regarded)
