National Distribution Manager

In Australia we distribute over 1000 Sku’s to 3,000 supermarkets and 5,000 pharmacies.

Our Domestic Distribution Centres are “State of the art” construction with Voice picking conveyor systems in a paperless environment. Other MHE includes 45 plus forklifts and racking systems to Store over 12,000 pallets in Ambient, Cool, Cold and Dangerous Goods Environments.

These facilities are TGA compliant and are maintained to the highest standards.

Internationally we distribute to all major eCommerce platforms and nominated Wholesalers throughout the world.

We also provide distribution to our own warehouses and 3PL’s in many Countries.

**Description**:
PharmaCare Laboratories Pty Ltd is seeking the services of a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the newly created Role of National Distribution Manager (NDM). This position will have the responsibilities of 2 Distribution Centres (DCs) located in Warriewood. The primary function of the NDM is to manage and coordinate both DC’s utilising a team of competent Senior Supervisors and DC Staff in the daily operations. Ensuring all functions are operating smoothly and all orders are despatched within nominated KPI’s in a FMCG environment of Pharmacy, Grocery and Export divisions.

The position of NDM reports directly to the Head of Distribution & Logistics and the NDM role would be seen as a succession plan to the role of Head of Distribution and Logistics.

With efficiencies as a focus, being able to help design future warehouses and processes by using continuous improvement methodology would be seen as an advantage.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Responsibilities**:
Being able to provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to over 70 staff.

Ensure all daily KPI’s are achieved and understanding what to do when they are missed

Management, coaching and training of 5 direct reports.

Setting and managing key performance indicators of all warehouse functions including Receiving, Put away, Replenishment, Picking, Packaging, Despatch and Transport.

Have sound knowledge of and have used Tier1 E.R..P and Tier1 W.M.S. software.

Display exceptional organisational and analytical skills

Have had experience with conveyor systems.

Provide a base for continuous improvement programs in all relevant areas.

Provide initiatives to increase throughput by streamlining processes and systems

Display ability to communicate with senior management

Be able to listen to Staff

Qualifications/Skills

A logistics degree or similar experience with a proven track record
Demonstrated understanding and ability to manage warehouses in an FMCG industry environment
Proficient ability with WMS Tier 1 software and Tier 1 ERP systems
Able to manage time effectively
Possess strong interpersonal and listening skills
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understand the importance of Inventory management.
Display proactive “Hands On” approach in daily staff interaction
Demonstrate ability to do quick and sometimes detailed analysis of systems data providing clear information to make decisions.
Clear understanding and adherence to all Health and Safety requirements with compliance
